SELF-SUSTAINING EARTH RETAINING PANEL FOR PIPE CONDUIT CONSTRUCTION

PURPOSE: A self-supporting type earth retaining panel for pipe construction is provided to enable an excavation work without a retaining strut. CONSTITUTION: A self-supporting type earth retaining panel for pipe construction comprises a panel(1) and a self-supporting stiffener(2). The panel is composed of a rectangular steel panel frame(101), a vertical reinforcing support, a horizontal reinforcing support(105), and an earth retaining member(104). The vertical and horizontal reinforcing supports are installed in the inner side of the panel frame in a cross shape. The self-supporting stiffener is composed of a coupling member(106), a spacing stiffener(107), and a self-supporting fixture wing(108). The coupling member touches the vertical reinforcing support in a longitudinal direction. The spacing stiffener reinforces the coupling member and maintains the gap between the panel and the coupling member. The self-supporting fixture wing is integrally installed on the spacing stiffener.
