PURPOSE: A gift providing system using a combination lock time capsule and the internet and a method thereof are provided to deliver an objectified gift with digital data such as a video, a photo, and a text message through a time capsule service. CONSTITUTION: A time capsule includes a combination lock. A web server(30) includes the followings. A user information DB(database) stores information of a participation member purchasing the time capsule. An electronic commerce service unit provides an electronic payment service to the participation member. A password DB stores a password and an open date of the time capsule.
