Provided are a method and node for sending data. The method includes: obtaining a seed generated randomly by a neighbour node; obtaining the corresponding scattered monitoring periods of the neighbour node in different frames according to the seed generated randomly by the neighbour node; and sending data to the neighbour node according to the corresponding scattered monitoring periods of the neighbour node in different frames. In the present invention, the local node obtains the scattered monitoring periods of the neighbour node in different frames by obtaining the seed generated randomly by the neighbour node, and sends data to the neighbour node based on different monitoring periods in each frame, and in this way, when the majority of nodes transmit data, the network conflict problem caused by the position of monitoring periods of the node in each frame being fixed is avoided.
