<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel device capable of generating the magnitude information of pressing force at a contact position and calculating respective contact positions even when an input surface is contacted at a plurality of parts simultaneously. <P>SOLUTION: A capacitance detection electrode 20 includes: lateral direction capacitance detection electrodes 21 provided with a plurality of first planar parts 21a arranged side by side in a lateral direction of an input area 11 and first connection parts 21b connecting the first planar parts 21a, and arranged side by side in a longitudinal direction; and longitudinal direction capacitance detection electrodes 22 provided with a plurality of second planar parts 22a arranged side by side in the longitudinal direction at positions not to overlap with the first planar parts 21a and second connection parts 22b connecting the second planar parts 22a, and arranged side by side in the lateral direction. A resistance detection element 30 includes a grid-like resistance detection linear electrode 31 passing through between the first planar parts 21a and the second planar parts 22a.
