PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time required for AF focusing when capturing a stereoscopic image.
SOLUTION: An imaging device includes: a first focus lens configured so as to be movable within a search range toward the closest side and the infinity side relative to a subject; a second focus lens configured so as to be movable within a search ranges toward the closest side and the infinity side relative to the subject; and control means. When focusing the first focus lens and the second focus lenses on the subject, the control means moves one of the focus lenses over a prescribed distance from a previous in-focus position toward the closest side and moves the other over a prescribed distance from a previous in-focus position toward the infinity side to confirm whether they are in-focus or not. If respective focus lenses reach limits of the search ranges, the control means inverts moving directions of the focus lenses and, when it is confirmed that one of the focus lenses is in an in-focus state, moves the other to an in-focus position.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
