<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an adhesive force between a polarizing film and a cycloolefin-based resin film in a polarizer configured such that a protective film made of cycloolefin-based resin is adhered via adhesive to polyvinyl alcohol-based polarizing film. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of manufacturing a polarizer by adhering a protective film made of cycloolefin-based resin via adhesive to a polarizing film in which the absorption orientation of dichroic dye is carried out to polyvinyl alcohol-based resin, the protective film is brought into contact with mixed organic solvent substantially excluding solute as the mixture of organic solvent (good solvent) giving change to the resin with contact and organic solvent (poor solvent) not giving any substantial change to the resin with contact, and treated so that the haze value of the film can be prevented from exceeding 0.5%, and adhered via the above mentioned adhesive to the polarizing film. While alicyclic hydrocarbon may be independently used instead of the mixed organic solvent, it is advantageous that the alicyclic hydrocarbon is also mixed with the poor solvent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
