<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell which has high proton conductivity while suppressing an introduction amount of an ion exchange group. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the electrolyte membrane for the fuel cell having proton conductivity includes: (A) preparing discotic liquid crystal molecules which are disk-shaped liquid crystal molecules, and have a core portion which is arranged in a center portion and is provided with an aromatic hydrocarbon derivative, a corona portion which is arranged in a region including the outer periphery of the liquid crystal molecules and is provided with an aliphatic hydrocarbon derivative, and an ion exchange group; (B) preparing a substrate on which an amino group has been introduced; and (C) applying a liquid containing the discotic liquid crystal molecules onto the surface of the substrate on which the amino group has been introduced, laminating the plurality of the discotic liquid crystal molecules on the surface of the substrate in a self-organizing manner so that a direction perpendicular to the surface direction of the substrate becomes a laminated direction to form columns, and forming a discotic liquid crystal film in which the plurality of the columns are two-dimensionally arranged on the substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
