<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a long-life, silent and low-cost lighting device with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device includes a phosphor array 3 having a plurality of segment areas, where phosphors 3r, 3g, and 3b irradiated with excited light for emitting light of the same wavelength; a plurality of solid light sources 1a arranged for the segment areas and irradiating the phosphors arranged on the segment areas with the excited light; lighting optical systems 4 to 9 for superposing lighting areas formed by the light from the phosphors; and a switching mechanism for switching the phosphors which emit excited light by controlling the solid light sources. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
