<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycyclic condensed ring polymer having a structure that is capable of exhibiting high charge-transporting performance and has exceptional solvent-solubility. <P>SOLUTION: The polycyclic condensed ring polymer has the structural unit represented by formula (1). In the formula, X<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and X<SP POS="POST">2</SP>each independently represents an oxygen atom, a sulfur atom or a selenium atom; R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>each independently represents a halogen atom, an unsaturated alkyl group, a linear, branched or cyclic 1-30C alkyl group, a non-alkyl group containing a linear, branched or cyclic 1-30C alkyl group, 6-60C aryl group which may have a substituent or 4-60C heterocyclic group which may have a substituent; at least either of R<SP POS="POST">1</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">2</SP>represents a linear, branched or cyclic 1-30C alkoxy group or a linear, branched or cyclic 1-30C alkylthio group; R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>each independently represents a monovalent group, when s, t, R<SP POS="POST">3</SP>and R<SP POS="POST">4</SP>are in plurality, they may be the same or different; R<SP POS="POST">0</SP>represents a hydrogen atom or a monovalent group, when R<SP POS="POST">0</SP>is in plurality, they may be the same or different; each of m, n, s, t, and r independently represents an integer of 0 to 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
