<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bench serving also as stretchers which has a flexible function so as to be used as a comfortable bench in normal circumstances and to be used promptly as two stretchers in emergency. <P>SOLUTION: In the bench serving also as stretchers, a backrest part 9 usable as a stretcher in emergency use in an earthquake, a fire or life rescue or the like and a seat surface part 10 similarly usable as a stretcher in emergency use in an earthquake, a fire or life rescue or the like are made attachable to and detachable from sleeve parts 2 and 3, a first horizontal member 4, a second horizontal member 5 and a third horizontal member 6 as a bench body.
