A keyboard applying a plastic injection molded baseboard and used for a notebook computer or a desktop computer, and a production method thereof. The keyboard comprises a plurality of button caps (10) arranged at intervals, scissor legs (20), a plurality of elastic colloidal silica members (30), a plurality of lower pin fixing seats (40), a keyboard baseboard (50) and a printed circuit film (60) covering the surface of the keyboard baseboard (50), the bottom surface of the button cap (10) being provided with an upper pin fixing seat. After assembly, the upper pins of the scissor legs (20) are inserted into and fixed on the upper pin fixing seats; the lower pins of the scissor legs (20) are inserted into and fixed on the lower pin fixing seats (40); the top of the elastic colloidal silica member (30) is propped against the bottom surface of the button cap (10); the bottom of the elastic colloidal silica member (30) is positioned on the button switch of the printed circuit film (60). Each lower pin fixing seat (40) and the keyboard baseboard (50) are the same plastic piece integrally formed by plastic injection molding by using a plastic material. The present invention simplifies the production process, reduces the production cost, and improves the assembly accuracy and the efficiency of automated assembly.
