<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system in which an information processing device can suitably obtain the communication connection state of another specific information processing device registered as a friend even when information processing devices composing the communication system cannot always connect to a network. <P>SOLUTION: A game device 100 can communicate with a server and another game device via an access point, and registers another specific information processing device as a communication partner. The game device 100 automatically repeats searching for a connectable access point. When retrieving a connectable access point, the game device automatically connects to the server via the access point.
