摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing an optically active 1-position-substituted tetrahydroisoquinoline compound. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing an optically active 1-position-substituted tetrahydroisoquinoline compound represented by formula II includes a process wherein, in the presence of a catalytic amount of chalcogen in a higher oxidation state or a halogen compound, an optically active secondary allyl alcohol represented by formula I is subjected to an intramolecular S<SB POS="POST">N</SB>2'-type cyclization reaction accompanied by 1,3-chirality transfer.
