<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for producing an optically active 1-position-substituted tetrahydroisoquinoline compound. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing an optically active 1-position-substituted tetrahydroisoquinoline compound represented by formula II includes a process wherein, in the presence of a catalytic amount of chalcogen in a higher oxidation state or a halogen compound, an optically active secondary allyl alcohol represented by formula I is subjected to an intramolecular S<SB POS="POST">N</SB>2'-type cyclization reaction accompanied by 1,3-chirality transfer. In the formula: n pieces of R1 are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a 2-6C alkenyl group or the like; R2 is a protective group of an amino group; R3 is a 1-6C alkyl group which may be substituted; n is an integer of 1-4; and the steric configuration of a carbon atom attached with * represents an S or R. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
