<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire tool having a high degree of processing efficiency with an excellent plane roughness of a machined surface. <P>SOLUTION: The wire tool 10 has granular materials 13 for backup fixed fast by a plating layer 12 that covers the outer peripheral surface of a wire 11, and abrasive grains 15 fixed fast by a synthetic resin layer 14 that covers the plating layer 12. There is provided a buffer resin layer 16 that contains no abrasive grains 15 therein between the plating layer 12 and the abrasive grains 15. The clearances 17 between the neighboring granular materials 13 and abrasive grains 15 existing along the wire 11 in the longitudinal direction thereof are smaller than the outer diameter of the abrasive grains 15, and are set almost to zero. A piano wire constitutes the wire 11, while the plating layer 12 is formed by nickel plating, whereas the synthetic resin layer 14 is formed by a thermosetting resin, with the granular materials 13 and abrasive grains 15 being of diamond particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
