<p>The present invention relates to a handheld communications terminal comprising a printed circuit board (30) for performing communications functions, and a metallic shell (10) for accommodating said printed circuit board (30), said terminal also comprising a protective cover (20) made of heat-conducting material, the protective cover (20) covering a heat-generating element (31) on the printed circuit board (30); a first heat-conducting-glue layer (41) disposed between the protective cover (20) and the top surface of the heat-generating element (31), and a second heat-conducting-glue layer (42) disposed between the inside surface of the shell (10) and the bottom surface of the heat-generating element (31); and a heat-resistant structure (14) having a non-planar surface provided from the contact position (13) of the inside surface of the shell (10) and the bottom surface of the heat-generating element (31) to the handheld contact face (11) on the shell (10). By changing the structure of the protective cover (20), the present invention allows for heat dissipation across a large surface area, and by disposing a heat-resistant structure (14) on the shell (10), obstructs the transfer of heat in the direction of the handheld contact face (11), guiding the heat away from the handheld contact face. The present invention thereby solves the problem of heat radiating to the hand during use of a terminal having a metallic shell (10), and provides a handheld communications terminal having a fully metallic shell (10) design, thereby enhancing the grade of the product.</p> |
