PURPOSE: A device for managing a long-range plan with an e-calendar and a method thereof are provided to generate a plan, determine a keyword about the plan by a user, and provide information about an event related to the keyword to the user when the event occurs. CONSTITUTION: A controller(401) generates a plan and determines a keyword about the plan by a user. When an event related to the keyword occurs, the controller provides related information to the user through a display(403). The controller additionally determines a reminder time of the plan by the user. If the present time reaches the reminder time of the plan after the event occurs, the controller provides the related information to the user.
