IPV4 ADDRESS-COMPATIBLE COMMUNICATION METHOD, SYSTEM AND ROUTER

Disclosed are an IPv4 address-compatible communication method, system and router; the communication system comprises the router and a packet conversion unit; the packet conversion unit is configured to implement a conversion between an IPv4 packet and identifier and a locator separation network packet according to a mapping relation between an IPv4 address and the unique identifier compatible with the IPv4 address. The present invention enables an IPv4 endpoint to successfully access the identifier and locator separation network and communicate via identifier and locator separation network by setting a unique identifier compatible with the IPv4 address.
