<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of easily performing jam processing, even when a recording sheet is jammed in a fixing device. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a plurality of cartridge side input members 65 transmitting a drive force to a member in each process cartridge 46, a plurality of first couplings 64 which can be advanced and retreated to and from the plurality of cartridge side input members 65 in an axial direction, a fixing side input member 75 transmitting the drive force to a member in a fixing device 44, a second coupling 74 which can be advanced and retreated to and from the fixing side input member 75 in the axial direction, and an interlock mechanism (direct operated cam 83, etc.) interlocking a cover opening and closing an opening formed in an apparatus body and the respective couplings 64 and 74.
