<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute image formation so that, when reading an image including characters by a scanner or the like, the characters in the read image become clear. <P>SOLUTION: A first differential filter is used for a read input image to detect edges of a character, the character is specified, its font is determined, and when a thickness of a line constituting the character is equal to or greater than a certain thickness, a portion surrounded by the edges is uniformly painted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
