A USB(Universal Series Bus) and eSATA(external Serial Advanced Technology Attachment) connector includes a female seat (1) and a male head (2). The female seat has a cavity for accommodating the male head, and the window (10) of the cavity is shaped as a rectangle. On the inner sides of two side walls of the female seat each is equipped a projecting power terminal (11), and on one of two side walls of the female seat is further equipped a projecting detection terminal (12). When the male head mates with the female seat, the detection terminal contacts a copper shell (13) outside the female seat. Correspondingly, the outer frame of the male head is also shaped as a rectangle. On the outer sides of two side walls of the male head each is provided a concave (21) in which a power terminal (11') is mounted. When the male head mates with the female seat, the power terminals of the male head contact the power terminals of the female seat. The USB and eSATA connector can supply power to the eSATA terminals (152) by connecting the power terminals of the female seat with the power terminals of the male head, and enables a mainboard to be discharged by connecting the detection terminal with the copper shell.
