<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duplex printing system. <P>SOLUTION: A fluid ejection system includes: a receiver transport system configured to transport a receiver in a first direction; a first inkjet head assembly 20 including a first set of the fluid ejection nozzles to deposit fluid drops on a first surface of the receiver; and a second inkjet head assembly 30 including a second set of fluid ejection nozzles to deposit fluid drops on a second surface of the receiver.
