<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blue (blue-green) phosphor which has a sufficient light emission intensity in a wavelength domain around 490 nm and has a high light emission luminance in a temperature domain reached during LED operation, and to provide a white light-emitting device in which sharp blue reproducibility is improved, using a high-luminance green phosphor of which the light emission peak wavelength is 535 nm or more. <P>SOLUTION: A phosphor having a chemical composition of a general formula [1] (Sr, Ca)<SB POS="POST">a</SB>Ba<SB POS="POST">b</SB>Eu<SB POS="POST">x</SB>(PO<SB POS="POST">4</SB>)<SB POS="POST">c</SB>X<SB POS="POST">d</SB>has a sufficient light emission intensity in a wavelength domain around 490 nm, and in a white light-emitting device employing the phosphor, sharp blue reproducibility is improved. In the general formula [1], X is Cl, (c), (d) and (x) are numerals meeting 2.7≤c≤3.3, 0.9≤d≤1.1, 0.3≤x≤1.2 and further, (a) and (b) meet conditions of a+b=5-x and 0.12≤b/(a+b)≤0.4). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
