<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a phosphor having excellent emission intensity and a light emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a phosphor includes the steps of: (1) obtaining an aqueous solution by mixing a first raw material containing at least one of alkali metal elements, a second raw material containing at least one of Si and Ge, a third raw material containing at least one selected from the group consisting of Ca, Sr, and Ba, a fourth raw material containing at least one selected from Bi and Mn, and water at 40-60°C; (2) cooling the aqueous solution below 40°C; (3) heating the aqueous solution to 60°C or more; (4) obtaining a precursor by removing water from the aqueous solution; and (5) burning the precursor, in the order of step (1) to (5). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
