<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the workability when the position of a guide member is adjusted according to the change of the sizes of a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The recording medium holding device includes: a casing; a control member; and a reference position display part. The control member is relatively movably supported by the casing so that the end position of the recording medium may be controlled according to the sizes of the recording medium. The reference position display part is provided so that the position of the casing of the control member corresponding to the sizes of the recording medium may be displayed.
