<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of stably outputting high-quality images by suppressing the variation of friction force at a secondary transfer part, and stabilizing the rotation speed and the sheet conveyance speed of an intermediate transfer belt and a sheet conveyance belt. <P>SOLUTION: A representative constitution of an image forming apparatus 100 comprises: a plurality of photoreceptor drums 2a to 2d for carrying toner images; an intermediate transfer belt 11 on which the toner images formed on the photoreceptor drums 2a to 2d are primarily transferred; and a secondary transfer belt 21 which contacts with the intermediate transfer belt 11. The image forming apparatus 100 also comprises: a color shift detection sensor 17 for detecting a position of each toner patch pattern constituted by toner images formed on the intermediate transfer belt 11; and an image forming control part which calculates a position shift amount of each toner patch from the detection result by the color shift detection sensor 17, and controlling the relative speed between the intermediate transfer belt 11 and the secondary transfer belt 21 to be constant based on the calculation result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
