<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connection component which is capable of surely confirming a short-sized fiber and an optical fiber are butted against each other during insertion of the optical fiber. <P>SOLUTION: The optical connection component includes: a short-sized fiber fixing part 20 to which a short-sized fiber 10 is fixed; and a body part 30 including an insertion hole 32 to which an optical fiber 60 is inserted from behind, and a recess 38 for bend which is provided so as to be continuous from the insertion hole 32 and allows bend of the optical fiber 60. In the optical connection component, the short-sized fiber 10 has a rear end brought into contact with a front end of the optical fiber 60 ahead of the recess 38 for bend and is optically connected to the optical fiber, and the short-sized fiber fixing part 20 and the body part 30 can be relatively moved in such directions as to come close to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
