<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving apparatus, an autofocus camera and a mobile terminal apparatus with a camera with low manufacturing costs and simple compositions, capable of position detection of a lens supporting body while preventing an influence on peripheral parts, etc. <P>SOLUTION: A lens driving apparatus 1 includes a driving mechanism for moving the lens supporting body in an optical axis direction and an X-Y direction orthogonal to the optical axis. In this case, the lens supporting body includes a metal body in X direction 43 fixed to an end section in an X direction and a metal body in Y direction 45 fixed to an end section in a Y direction. A fixed body 8 includes a position detection coil for X direction 49 facing the metal body in X direction 43 and a position detection coil for Y direction 51 facing the metal body in Y direction 45.
