<p>The purpose of the present invention is to control the rate of fall of a baffle to suppress generation of defects in a mouth section without reducing production efficiency of a glass bottle. A baffle drive device having a vertical shaft to which a baffle is attached and an air cylinder to drive the shaft up and down is provided with two lines of exhaust pipes, one wide and one narrow, through which exhaust passes when the shaft is driven downwards, and a diverter valve for switching between the two lines of exhaust pipes for the exhaust to pass through, thereby enabling the rate of fall of the shaft to be changed. When lowering the baffle, by slowing the rate of fall just before the baffle touches a rough mold, impact on the rough mold is reduced and generation of defects in a mouth section can be suppressed.</p> |
