Provided is an optical information recording medium containing at least three information layers, at least one of the information layers positioned on the light-incident side being a rewriteable information layer, and having at least a recording film, a transmissivity-regulating layer made from a dielectric containing Bi, Ti and O, and an isolating film, laminated in order from the light-incident side. The isolating film is provided in contact and in between the transmissivity-regulating layer and the intermediate isolating layer which isolates the information layer from other information layers on the opposite side from the light-incident side. The refractive index (an optical constant) of the isolation film at a wavelength of 405nm is set so as not to exceed 1.8, and the extinction coefficient is set so as not to exceed 0.05, thereby preventing deterioration in repeated rewriting characteristics under harsh environmental conditions.
