Shaft seal system

The system has a sealing ring (330) fixed at a rotor (310) and arranged such that a sealing lip (332) is detached from a stator section (320) during rotary movement of a shaft (312) by centrifugal force-operated radial expansion. A radial movable additional mass body (350) is in effective connection with the sealing lip such that the mass body exerts radially outward acting force on the sealing lip during centrifugal force-operated displacement. A center of gravity of the mass body is radially and outwardly spaced at distance from an outwardly pointed surface of the sealing lip. The mass body is made from metal and mineral or ceramic material.
