PURPOSE: A crusher for crushing solid material is provided to effectively crush a solid material formed in a work space of a housing by expansion force generated due to a state change of expandable material. CONSTITUTION: A crusher for crushing solid material comprises a shooter, a projectile(130), and a driving force supplying unit. The shooter faces solid material formed in a work space of a housing through an inlet of a wall body thereof. The projectile is mounted to the shooter to be shootable, and filled with expandable material. The driving force supplying unit supplies driving force to the projectile. The projectile is put into the solid material from the shooter. When an expandable material discharged from the projectile is changed to a gas state, an expansion force is generated and the solid material is crushed by the expansion force.
