PURPOSE: A surface light source lighting device is provided to reduce weight of a lighting device by performing aluminum powder coating on an external surface of a cover frame. CONSTITUTION: A cover frame(110) includes an accommodation space formed in inside. The cover frame has an opening unit. The cover frame includes a cover plate(111) and an edge unit(112) which is projected to one side of the cover plate. A lighting unit(130) includes a light guide plate which diffuses a light source combined inside the cover frame. A sub frame(120) is combined in the edge of the opening unit of the cover frame. A holding unit or a fitting unit is formed in the cover frame or the sub frame.
