A broadcasting system and a method thereof are provided to transmit/receive middleware information used to control the execution of a specific application on a middleware and to protect a copy right of broadcasting contents in a broadcasting receiver. Middleware control information is created in order to control the execution of an application based on a middleware. The middleware information and mobile broadcasting service are converted into transport stream packets having intrinsic packet identifiers according to streams(703). Multiplexed data are transmitted through a main service channel. The middleware control information includes at least one section. The section structure of the middleware information is a private section structure. The ID of a transport stream packet including the middleware control information includes a program map table. |
