<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a carried amount of a catalyst constituent while suppressing the reduction of cleaning performance for the exhaust gas flowing on the periphery part of a catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: In a catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas having a catalyst constituent for cleaning exhaust gas carried on a carrier of a honeycomb structure, the catalyst constituent is carried on a center part 5a alone out of the center part 5a and a periphery part 5b with regard to a downstream part 5 of the carrier 2, and the carried amount of the catalyst constituent on a center part 4a and a periphery part 4b is the same or more than that on the center part 5a of the downstream part 5 with regard to an upstream part 4 of the carrier 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
