The method involves determining a value, which is a measurement for utilizing energy for maintaining comfort level in a comfort band in an operating mode of a controlling or regulating arrangement (2). An incident is detected, by which the operating mode of the arrangement is changed. Another value is determined, which is a measurement of changing the utilization of the energy for maintain the comfort level in comfort band in modified mode of operation of the controlling or regulating arrangement.
