PURPOSE: Chicken soup containing Cordyceps sinensis, and gruel containing chicken using thereof are provided to use Cordyceps sinensis instead of ginseng to cook the soup. CONSTITUTION: Chicken soup containing Cordyceps sinensis is obtained by mixing 1,500-2,000ml of purified water, 500-600g of dressed chicken, 3-10g of Cordyceps sinensis, 20-30g of garlic, 20-30g of jujube, and 5-10g of ginger, and boiling the mixture at 90-100 deg C for 4-50 minutes to obtain the soup. Gruel containing chicken using thereof is obtained by the following steps: mixing 20,000ml of purified water, 200-300g of sea tangle by weight, 1,300-1,500g of radish, 700-800g of onion, and 300-400g of spring onion in a hemp cloth net, and tying the net for preventing the ingredients from coming out; boiling the ingredients in the hemp cloth net with 120-150g of Cordyceps sinensis to obtain seasoning stock; and adding 500-600ml of seasoning stock when cooking the gruel using the chicken soup.
