A system and a method for controlling a TV(TeleVision) by a mobile communication terminal capable of outputting broadcasting program information are provided to enable a user to view the information through the terminal and change a channel without using a currently watched TV screen. It is tried to access a communication medium for transmitting a broadcasting program request signal. Broadcasting program information data is downloaded from a broadcasting information server which interlocks with the accessed communication medium. The downloaded broadcasting program information data is displayed on an output screen. A channel switching signal is transmitted in response to an input signal for selecting the broadcasting program information data. The channel switching signal is received and then a TV system channel is changed. |
