Dynamic information is provided by presenting contextual weather information 336, 338 with respect to a predetermined vehicle route (e.g. flight plan 308). The contextual weather information is generated by automatically integrating received routing data for the vehicle (e.g. aircraft 100, Fig.1) with received weather data for an area. Presentation interface (206, Fig.2) may also display icons at past, current or forecast positions of the vehicle - e.g. highlighting or visually distinguishing the current position 320 from historical and future locations 332. The weather, routing and notice data may be updated continuously and associated with predetermined times such that the weather (e.g. precipitation 336, winds and temperatures 338) and any notices (e.g. NOTAM 340) may be shown for any user-selected time (as indicated by timer 326) and location along a route (Figs.3-5). |
