PURPOSE: A speaker is provided to reduce the size of an electronic device including the speaker by maximally reducing the height of the speaker. CONSTITUTION: A magnet(501) is formed into a ring shape. The magnet has a stepped part which is formed from the outside to the inside. The magnet has a south pole formed inside and a north pole formed at the outside. Magnetic flux faces the south pole of the magnet from the north pole passing through a first plate(502), a magnetic gap(505), and a second plate(503) when the north pole is placed at the outside of the magnet. The first plate and the second plate functions as a yoke(504) providing a passage for the magnetic flux. The magnet can constitute a magnetic circuit which is adhered closely to the first plate.
