PURPOSE: An advertisement rate calculating system with an image code and a method thereof are provided to download advertisement contents through link information included in the image code by scanning the image code through a portable terminal and calculate an advertisement rate by counting the number of times downloading the advertisement contents. CONSTITUTION: Link information of advertisement contents including one or more advertisements is encoded to an image code(60). A portable terminal(10) decodes the image code. The portable terminal receives the advertisement contents by connecting to an advertisement content server(30) based on the link information through wireless data communication. The advertisement content server stores the advertisement contents to which the link information is applied. The advertisement content server downloads the advertisement contents corresponding to the link information to the portable terminal.
