PURPOSE: A secondary battery is provided to prevent corrosion of a battery case and facilitate a design of an external circuit by a battery case having polarity upon normal operation, and to improve reliability and safety by the battery case removing the polarity upon abnormal operation. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery(100) comprises: an electrode assembly(110), a case(140) accepting the electrode assembly; electrode terminals(120,130) electrically connected to the electrode assembly, and extended toward outside the case; a fuse part(125) electrically connecting the electrode assembly by being installed between the case and the electrode terminal. A cap plate(151) which covers the electrode assembly is coupled to the case, and the electrode terminals are extended, penetrating through the cap plate. |
