PURPOSE: A metal deburring system and method are provided to prevent work hardening, distortion, and/or edge stress by employing an electrolytic deburring process. CONSTITUTION: An electrolytic deburring tool(10) of a metal deburring system comprises first and second electrodes(24,26), first and second electrolyte supply units(38,46), and a power unit(16). The first electrode is separated at a first interval from a first edge of a work piece(52). The second electrode is separated at a second interval from a second edge(56) of the work piece. The first electrolyte supply unit supplies first electrolyte(32) through the first interval between the first edge and the first electrode. The second electrolyte supply unit supplies second electrolyte(34) through the second interval between the second edge and the second electrode. The power unit electrolytically dissolves the work piece from both sides of the first and second edges by supplying alternating current through the first and second intervals.
