PURPOSE: A variable speed motor encoder of a two stage decelerator is provided to accurately indicate a high speed stage, a low speed stage, and a middle stage by a sensing pattern of an encoder and to reduce operation noise. CONSTITUTION: A variable speed motor encoder of a two stage decelerator comprises a sensor plate and a sensing member(5). A current applying portion(13) and a power cut portion(15) are combined so that one code is generated The sensor plate forms sensing patterns by combining the current applying portion and the power cut portion, thereby generating one code by crossing a plurality of arc areas arranged in a circumferential direction in a radial direction. The sensing member is arranged in the radial direction by being adjacent to a pattern surface of the sensor plate. The sensor plate reads the sensing patterns by a code unit when being rotated by the variable speed motor so that the sensing member confirms a corresponding one-to-one speed change section of the decelerator.
