PURPOSE: A front light emitting type organic light emitting diode and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to accomplish a high light transmission rate and a low resistance value of a cathode electrode at the same time. CONSTITUTION: An anode electrode(12) is formed on the top of a substrate(11). An organic layer(14) is formed on the top of the anode electrode. The organic layer comprises a hole-injection layer, a hole-transport layer, a light emitting layer, an electron-transport layer, and an electron-injection layer. A cathode electrode(15) is formed on the top of the organic layer. A pair of transparent conductive oxides(16a) is placed on the top of the cathode electrode. The pair of transparent conductive oxides is electrically connected to the cathode electrode. A metal layer(16b) is placed between the pair of transparent conductive oxides. The metal layer is electrically connected to the pair of transparent conductive oxides.
