A beverage can end (2) which has a circular end wall (4), a chuck wall (6) comprising an upper chuck wall portion (8) and an outwardly extending arch (30), a countersink (12), an inner panel wall (16) and central panel (14). The upper chuck wall portion (8) has a radius of curvature between about 0.070 and 0.090 inches, the outwardly extending arch (30) has a radius of curvature between about 0.020 and 0.220 inches, the countersink has a radius of curvature less than about 0.015 inches, and the central panel (14) is raised above a lowermost portion of the countersink (12) at least about 0.080 inches.
