A foundation base member supports an above ground electrical device such as a light pole and supplies electrical wiring to it. The foundation base includes a body 28 for inserting into the ground and has an axial passage for carrying the underground electrical wires 24 to the electrical device. A base member 42 is coupled to the top end of the foundation body and has a passageway aligned with the axial passage of the foundation body for receiving the electrical wires. The base member is adapted for coupling to and supporting the electrical device, having slots 44 to which the devices base (20, Fig 8) can be bolted. A clamping device 14 is received within a recess of the base member for fixing the position of the clamping device with respect to the foundation base. In one embodiment, the clamping device is captured between the foundation base and the electrical device. The wires are clamped in position by the clamping device to prevent unauthorized removal of the wiring. The clamp may have a shield (120, Fig 14) to hinder access to it. |
