A user equipment (UE) inserts user data in to session management signalling message(s) before transmitting the session management message(s) containing the user data over the signalling plane of a telecommunications network. On the customer network, the user data is retrieved by extracting the user data from one or more authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA) protocol message(s) sent from the telecommunications network to the customer network. The user equipment may be a machine-to-machine (M2M) type device. |
