METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING TV AND RUNNING OPTIONAL SERVICES USING MOBILE SMART DEVICE

PURPOSE: A method for executing a control service and an additional service of a TV using mobile smart devices and a system thereof are provided to control a channel of the TV by using the mobile smart devices which an application performing a remote control function is installed, thereby replacing the remote control function of the TV. CONSTITUTION: A mobile smart device(100) executes an application performing a remote control function which is controlling a TV. An additional service server(300) receives location information by approving use of the location information of a watching area of the TV which is caused by execution of the application. A broadcast service server(200) transmits information of broadcasters serviced in the watching area and channel information based on the location information to the mobile smart device. The mobile smart device transmits signals controlling channels of the TV based on the information to the TV.
