The method involves determining a position of a spot in which a mobile communication device (EC) e.g. smartphone is located, and determining whether there is a camera (C1) providing video recordings, of a part of observation zone that is susceptible to include the spot, accessible via a non-wired communications network (RC). A determination is made whether the camera offers the zone in an event that the camera is determined. A portion of a video recording made by the camera is transmitted to the device via the network in an event that the camera is determined while the device is in the zone. An independent claim is also included for a device for obtaining video recordings related to a user.
