A device for preventing dirt entering and fluid leaving bearing surfaces of two relatively rotatable parts, comprises two elements respectively connected to the relatively rotatable parts and provided with contacting sealing faces disposed transversely to the axis of rotation, at least one of which faces is provided with concentric circular grooves and projections and one of which elements has bonded to it a rubber holder on the opposite face to the sealing face, which holder is so connected to one of the relatively rotatable parts as to maintain the elements in contact and to permit a certain degree of universal movement of the element on the rubber holder relatively to the part that carries it. The device is identical with that described with reference to Figs. 2 and 3 in Specification 737,787. Specification 737,860 also is referred to.
